Teesside property agent takes on Alpine Challenge for charity.

09 September 2015

One of Teesside’s best known commercial property agents has embarked on a gruelling mountain walking challenge to raise money for charity.

Stephen Brown, senior partner at Middlesbrough-based Dodds Brown LLP, the largest independent commercial property surveying practice headquartered on Teesside, is taking on the 11 day Tour de Mont Blanc Alpine walk, aiming to raise £5,000 for the Alzheimer’s Society and for Syrian Refugees through UNICEF.

The Tour de Mont Blanc is a 120 mile circumnavigation of the Alps’ highest peak, with more than 35,000 feet of ascent and descent.  Staying in mountain refuges, walkers must carry all their kit with them for the entire hike.

Tackling the Tour de Mont Blanc is long held ambition of Stephen who is a keen walker.  However, this is the first time he has taken on such a long journey on foot.

He says: “I have thought about doing the Tour de Mont Blanc for a number of years as a personal challenge, but I have finally found the time to do it.  The fact that I can help raise money for such good causes as people affected by Alzheimer’s disease and Syrian refugees will make completing this challenge twice as rewarding.  I am asking all my business colleagues and contacts to help me meet my target of £5,000.”

Stephen starts the Tour de Mont Blanc on Thursday 10th September.  Donations can be made to support Stephen by visiting his justgiving page https://www.justgiving.com/Stephen-Brown38, or via text by texting: MTBC55 £10 to 70070.
